Extended Warranty * for your Chrysler

Chrysler

The Chrysler brand is officially part of FCA US LLC, also referred to as Fiat Chrysler. There are slightly different Chrysler warranty options depending on the year of your vehicle. For example, it was recently announced Chrysler’s original 5-year/100,000-mile powertrain warranty will be reduced to a 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty for 2016 models. The brand will keep its 3-year/36,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty intact.

Although repair isn’t something you may automatically consider when purchasing a new vehicle, it’s best to know exactly what’s covered and for how long up front. Many drivers allow their warranties to expire without a vehicle service contract in place to cover their repair needs in the future.

A vehicle service contract (commonly referred to as an extended warranty) is not part of the original Chrysler warranties, but separate coverage for drivers who would like protection after their original manufacturer warranty is no longer valid.

Average Repair Costs for Chrysler Vehicles

It’s never too early to look at your vehicle service options. Without coverage, Chrysler drivers could potentially pay anywhere from $200-$2,600, on average, for vehicle repair based on the sample costs below. This is not an expense people typically plan for and definitely don’t want to deal with unexpectedly.

However, our vehicles are often a necessity to get to work, school, or run our day-to-day activities. Being without transportation can cause a huge inconvenience that could trickle down and create larger stresses. If you do not have vehicle repair coverage, you may be put in a situation where you can’t afford the repairs, but you also can’t afford not to have them repaired either.

Alternator replacement$232 to $900
Water pump replacement$180 to $1,536
Radiator replacement$336 to $1,078

*A Vehicle Service Contract (VSC) is often referred to as an “extended warranty,” but it is not a warranty. A VSC does, however, provide repair coverage for your vehicle after the manufacturer’s warranty expires. A VSC is a contract between you and a VSC provider or administrator that states what is a covered repair and what is not.
